he green carpet was alive with vivacious stars for the 12th annual Latin Grammy Awards. The location of the show was none other than the Mandalay Bay Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas. Musicians and actors from the Latino entertainment industry came for a surreal night of entertainment.

Daddy Yankee kicked off the evening atop a Las Vegas skyscraper before handing the stage over to the host of the evening Fernando Gonzalez.

Shakira was among the top honored and walked away with her eighth Latin Grammy for best female pop vocal. The Colombian singer had quite a few outfit changes during the evening, but arrived in a blue gown with gold detailing on the bodice.

She kept her golden locks in a side braid and wore tear-drop dangling earrings. Later in the evening, Shakira spiced up her look in a gold jewel encrusted strapless gown, and pulled her hair up.

Fan favorite Sofia Vergara presented Shakira with her prestigious honor. The “Modern Family” actress flaunted her gorgeous curves in a white and gunmetal Reem Acra gown.

Disney Star Demi Lovato showed off quite the dress while arriving on the green carpet. The 19-year-old wore a berry-colored Roland Mouret gown, which boasted an extreme plunging neckline.

Mary J. Blige will live stream a show from Los Angeles ahead of the launch of her latest album.

The Grammy award-winning singer has collaborated with director Adam Shankman to broadcast a concert on her VEVO channel on YouTubetoday (17.11.11) as part of the 'American Express Unstaged' music series, before the release of her new record 'My Life II... The Journey Continues (Act I)' on Monday (21.11.11).

Mary said: "I can't wait to share in this amazing experience with fans around the world as they join me on a timeless journey of celebration and reflection.

"I'm really looking forward to immersing myself in Adam Shankman's creative vision for an unforgettable 'American Express Unstaged' performance."

Mary is the latest in a line of acclaimed musicians to take part in the livestream series with Duran Duran collaborating with David Lynch ahead of the release of their 13th album earlier this year and Arctic Monkeys teaming up with Terry Gilliam at Madison Square Garden in New York last year.

In October, Coldplay launched their album 'Mylo Xyloto' with a concert at the Plaza de Toros de Las Ventas in Madrid and frontman Chris Martin revealed the band chose the venue to match director Anton Corbijn's stunning visuals.

Speaking about the concert, he said: "We decided we'd like to do a concert which we'd broadcast onYouTube live around the world and just looked for some of the most beautiful buildings we could find and this is what we came up with, in one of the most beautiful cities in the world.".

Mary J. Blige's 'American Express Unstaged' performance will be live-streamed at 4am in the UK (18.11.11) and 8pm in Los Angeles (17.11.11) at www.youtube.com/MaryJBligeVEVO.

Celebrities know they have to look their best and be in peak health to stay in demand and keep up with their often grueling schedules. Now presenters and performers at two major awards shows have one more way to stay in prime shape. Organizers of the 45th Annual Country Music Association (CMA) awards, held onWednesday, Nov. 9th, 2011, and the 12th Annual Latin Grammy Awards, held on Thursday, Nov. 10th, 2011, tapped Krystal Klear Water (http://www.krystalklearwater.com) to provide their Whole House Water Filtration system for inclusion in the official gift bags at both events.

Designed to deliver cleaner water to every faucet and shower in the home -- including the washing machine -- the Krystal Klear Whole House Water Filtration system rids a home's water of the damaging chemicals, contaminants and pollutants found in most of the nation's water supply. The CMAs and Latin Grammys are the first awards shows to include such a comprehensive health and environmental solution in the gift bags given to presenters, performers and award recipients.

But is whole-home water filtration really that important? Absolutely, according to a report issued by the President's Cancer Panel in May 2010. In that report, the panel stated that the chemicals and contaminants, including arsenic and solvents, in the country's outdated public water systems are causing cancer -- and went on to say that every American home should have a water filtration system.

"The Krystal Klear Whole House Water Filtration system removes and reduces the harmful chemicals, pollutants and contaminants that affect the water we all drink and bathe, shower, cook and clean with," explained Krystal Klear Water Enterprises President Christopher DiRe. "We were thrilled to provide the gift of safer water to celebrities at the CMAs and Latin Grammy Awards. We hope this gift raises all Americans' awareness of the dangers of having unfiltered water in the home."

When the gift bag recipients install their new Whole House Water Filtration systems, they will find their water tastes and smells better; their clothes will be brighter and softer and last longer once chemicals are no longer destroying the fabrics with every wash; their food will taste better because the water they cook with will no longer contain pollutants; and their hair and skin will look better and more youthful when the damaging chlorine and other disinfectants are removed from their showers and baths.

"Distinctive Assets prepared the gift bags for the 45th Annual Country Music Awards and the 12th Annual Latin Grammy Awards," DiRe stated. "Krystal Klear Water Enterprises thanks them for including the Whole House Water Filtration system."

The Krystal Klear Whole House Water Filtration system retails for $2,995. Krystal Klear Water systems are available exclusively through the company's network of dealers throughout North America. Learn more at http://www.krystalklearwater.com.
