.Addressing a function to mark the inauguration of the Tamilnadu Iyal Isai Nataka Naatiya Vizha of the Tamilnadu Iyal Isai Nataka Manram at the Goverment Music College, he said it was the first time that such a long festival for thirteen days was being organised by the manram. More such cultural programmes should be organised all over the state to spread the message of our culture and tradition.
Tourists visited the state not only to see places of historical and religious interests but also to attend cultural programmes. Between October and March many NRI’s came to attend the music festivals, he pointed out.

Artistes from all over the country will be taking part in this festival. The festival is on from 28 October to 9 November. Programmes will be held daily at 6 pm at the premises of the Government Music College, RA Puram.
