Salma Hayek never usually puts a foot wrong on the red carpet.
However, it all went horribly wrong on the weekend in Paris when the Puss In Boots star was left red-faced after coming a cropper and almost tumbling to the floor.
The Mexican actress was in the French capital to fulfill promotional duties at the Puss in Boots premiere on Sunday night.
Hayek stunned the crowd at the premiere, stepping out in a dark blue silk dress trimmed with black velvet ribbon and towering black platform pumps.
But while she was the air of calm professionalism at the event, the Dogma star lost her dignity while stumbling out of the city's George V hotel earlier in the day.
The beauty, wearing red jumper with grey skirt suit, was leaving the hotel with her four-year-old daughter Valentina Pinault and her Puss in Boots co-star Antonio Banderas.
The small five foot two star's skyscraping heels were obviously too much for her as she tripped down a step, while grabbing on to the door frame and clutching her daughter's hand.
Hayek almost brought little Valentina down with her as she lost her footing, with Banderas looking on.
The Spanish actor then helped the actress up as she regained her composure and smiled coyly for the onlooking cameras.
Wearing a red jumper with belt detailing and teaming it up with grey pencil skirt, grey suit jacket, black oversized bag and black heels, Hayek put the embarrassment behind her when she turned up to a press call in the French city prior to the premiere
Banderas clutched her hand on the red carpet, while Hayek ensured she looked graceful at the premiere later on in the day.
Salma's husband Francois-Henri Pinault was absent from the event, but the 45-year-old again took her daughter along with her to showcase the new animated movie.
